Suited for students who are aged 20+ or second-year (or higher) students, provides an experience similar to flatting, where accommodation is shared between four students.

Designed for a semester or full-year living for adult learners (either over 20 years of age or second-year students) to share between four adults. This can be you and three friends or please ask us if we have any single placements available in existing units. Our Rotokauri Eco Village accommodation offers modern living options in a semi-rural environment to get you through your study time at Wintec.

We have four-bedroom units that are semi-furnished with king single beds, lounge and dining furniture as well as a washer, dryer, television, heat pump and access to Wintec Wi-Fi.

Bedrooms in our four bedroom units are 10m2.Each bedroom is furnished with a bed, mattress, chair, desk, drawer unit, and wardrobe. Furniture can be rearranged to suit your needs.

Each house has a full kitchen (including oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher), laundry (including washing machine, laundry tub and dryer), dining area/lounge (some houses have lounge furniture and dining furniture).

Wellbeing & Safety

We provide a supportive environment for school leavers to transition from home and into a new environment.

Staff on site

Trained staff (one Residential Manager and three Residential Leaders) live on-site to provide pastoral care to residents. A staff member is on duty after hours and can be contacted for emergencies with 24x7 on-call coverage.

Residential Leaders

Each resident is assigned a Residential Leader as a first point-of-contact for general matters. The ratio of Residential Leaders to residents is approximately 1:25.

Community

Staff and residents facilitate a range of events and activities throughout the year to help create a vibrant, enriching community where every resident has the opportunity to make new friends and undergo personal growth.

Off-site

Investigations are conducted to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
